Mateo Ridge Holdings is an acquisition vehicle formed to identify, acquire, and operate a single, profitable business in the Southwestern United States. We are pursuing an established, cash-flowing business owned by a retiring or transitioning operator, with the goal of preserving what already works and building lasting value through hands-on ownership over the long term.

This is not private equity. There is no portfolio, no fund timeline, and no plan to sell in three to five years. The next owner will be present, accountable, and fully committed to the business and the people who built it.

What We're Looking For
Profitability & Size
EBITDA of $500K–$2M+ with three years of positive cash flow.
Margins
EBITDA margins of 15% or greater.
Industry Dynamics
Large, fragmented market with no dominant player. Organic growth potential, low regulatory risk, and durable demand.
Recurring Revenue
At least 50% of revenue is recurring, contractual, or highly repeatable, with a loyal and sticky customer base.
Customer Concentration
No single customer exceeding 20% of total revenue.
Owner Transition
Owner is approaching retirement or an exit and is committed to a smooth, thoughtful handoff with private and concentrated ownership.

Alex is the founder and operator of Mateo Ridge Holdings. Alex spent four years enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an Infantryman and Scout Sniper. After leaving the service, Alex completed his undergraduate degree in finance at the University of Oklahoma. Upon graduation he worked in advisory and investment management, which gave him a front-row seat to the challenges business owners face when it comes time for succession planning. Alex then went on to earn his MS in Finance with a focus in Artificial Intelligence and data analytics from ASU's W.P. Carey School of Business, where he graduated as the Valedictorian.

He is now pursuing a single acquisition in the Southwest, where he can apply this combination of leadership, financial rigor, and technical capability to build a durable, cash-flowing business over the long term. He brings an operator's mindset, not a financial engineer's. The goal is to build professional systems, compound value over time, and carry the business forward with the same care that made it worth acquiring in the first place.
